HOA Docs

If you are not sure what the correct course of action is when an issue arises, it is often useful to look at the Governing Documents for the Playmor Terrace association. They are intended to cover just about every aspect of living in the community, from how the Board is elected to which colors your drapes are allowed to be.

There are three Governing Documents. The Bylaws specify how the association is organized. The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (i.e. the CC&Rs) discuss the relationship between the association and individual owners. The Rules and Regulations summarize some parts of the other two documents and explain a few issues in more detail.

If there is a contradiction between the information in any of the Governing Document, the CC&Rs take precedence, followed by the Bylaws, and then the Rules and Regulations. The files below are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, and are searchable so you can easily look for relevant keywords.

It is also worth pointing out that California law generally prevails over the Governing Documents. This is why we provide links to the California Corporations Code and the California Civil Code. You will find references to these resources in the Governing Documents.
