No December Board Meeting

The regular monthly Board meeting that was originally scheduled for December 12 has been canceled. No reason was given, but it is quite common for the December meeting not to take place. The January Board meeting will likely take place on Wednesday January 9 at 6:30pm. Due to new California legislation that takes effect January 1, all owners should receive the agenda of the January Board meeting in advance.

Recall Vote Finalized

All Playmor Terrace owners should have received a letter from the Association’s legal firm, Peter’s & Freedman, with the results of last month’s Board Recall vote. It’s now official that both the Board Recall proposal and the term limits amendment to the Bylaws were rejected. The Recall proposal was short 5 votes (53 instead of 58); the amendment was short 31 votes (55 instead of 86).

The ballot discrepancy that was mentioned here earlier was traced back to some faulty math: 9 abstentions for the Bylaws amendment vote were missed when the votes were tabulated at the special meeting.
